  • Overview

    The Scrum Product Owner will serve as the key stakeholder and product champion.  This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining the product backlog according to business value and ensuring the team meets the program deadlines and goals.


    • Maintain the software development schedule
    • Gather both technical and non-technical requirements, communicate program/project plans and report status updates to leadership and relevant stakeholders
    • Assess and mitigate risks, resolve bottlenecks, serve as an escalation point of contact, anticipate and access trade-offs and balance business needs with technical constraints
    • Establish and continuously monitor the change management processes between external and internal stakeholders
    • Assist development teams in researching, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues, documenting solutions, and managing bug fix release cycles
    • Work with multiple product teams to create epics and user stories which provide the detail needed by each team and ensure each integration has a groomed, prioritized backlog
    • Work alongside UX Designer to develop detailed product wireframes and provide product management support to Engineering teams during the development and QA cycles
    • Ensure both quality and functional goals are met with each sprint by accepting user stories once all acceptance criteria are met
    • Work with QA and analyze data and test results to ensure integrity is maintained throughout program lifecycle and ensure requirements are satisfied
    • Lead user acceptance testing for all new features and be responsible for final approval for all new features before acceptance into production
    • Play a crucial part in the team retrospective helping drive continuous improvements across the team


    • Bachelor’s degree plus seven (7) years of experience in a related field
    • Proven experience leading agile software development, using SDLC processes, methods and best practices
    • Proven track record in product management and translating customer needs into business/product requirements
    • Ability to develop detailed, complete, and clear user stories and acceptance criteria
    • Excellent communication skills and business process knowledge
    • Skilled at conflict resolution, with a proven ability to build consensus among team members
    • Ability to travel to client sites, foreign and domestic
